PMI-ACP Certification Eligibility – An Overview

Agile practice training hours will be counted based on each hour you are spending on Agile work. There are many courses, Agile workshops as well as educational sessions which you can join to earn the training hours. There is no need to complete the 21 hours in one go. You can have 2-hour sessions or 3-hour sessions, depending on your preferences. However, self-learning and attending a PMI network meeting are not considered for PMI ACP certification eligibility. There are few PMI ACP requirements to be met to apply for the exam, pass and get certified.

Process of PMI ACP Eligibility Exam
Submitting the Application for PMI ACP Examination
- After meeting all the PMI ACP prerequisites, you can submit your application following the PMI rules.
- Once application is reviewed, you will get the response within 3-5 days from PMI.
- If PMI approves your application, they will ask you to pay for fixing the exam schedule.
Scheduling PMI ACP Examination
- You should appear for the exam within one year of approval of your application.
- During this period, you can take the exam maximum of 3 times.
Passing the Exam
- 120 questions in total consisting of 20 unscored questions and 100 scored questions
- Candidates get 3 hours for exam completion.
- Questions will come from 7 domains.
Once you clear the exam with flying colors, you will get the PMI ACP certificate which will be valid for three years. After that, you have to renew it using 30 PDUs.
