Introduction
The PRINCE2 Practitioner exam is one of the most popular exams for project managers and people working in allied fields. Initially, PRINCE was developed by the Government of the UK. It was a method that they used to manage large-scale public sector projects. However, now, this method has been adopted globally in both the private and the public sector.
Unlike other certifications and degrees, PRINCE2 needs to be renewed every three years. If you do not renew the certification, then it will expire, and you will no longer be able to claim that you are a certified PRINCE2 Practitioner.
Overview of the PRINCE2 Practitioner Exam
PRINCE2 Practitioner is the second of the two levels. There are a few differences between the Foundation and the Practioner levels, and it is crucial to know them. Here are the differences between the PRINCE2 Foundation Exam and the PRINCE2 Practitioner Exam:
Practitioner Exam | Foundation Exam |
Adapt Principles as per Project | Understand Principles |
Understand Practical Application | Learn Key Phrases and Terms |
Learn How To Run a Team | Receive Theoretical Knowledge |
You receive a certification after you pass the PRINCE2 practitioner exam. The certification is meant to show that you have sufficient knowledge and understanding of their project management method and are capable of tailoring their teaching to solve real-world project management problems.
Even though this course is meant for project managers, other people working in allied roles can also be benefited from taking this course. For example, the PRINCE practitioner exam can help:
- Individuals who are working as team managers
- Project support
- Operational line managers
- Project Board members (e.g. Senior Responsible Owners)
- Team Managers (e.g. Product Delivery Managers)
- Project Assurance (e.g. Business Change Analysts)
