The certificate is valid for exactly three years from the day of certification. Extending the certificate for a period of three years requires furnishing proof of 60 PDUs (Professional Development Units).

On completion of exam successfully you will know the result shortly, the Prometric staff will give you a printout. You will receive an email from the PMI® within one to two weeks, and afterward, you can see your certification information on the PMI® registry and in your account. You will receive your certificate within four to six weeks.

Yes. One can retake the PMP® Exam. Re-examination attempt fees for members is $275 and $375 for Non-members.

As specified in eligibility criteria, one needs to obtain 35 hours of formal trainings which cannot be achieved by only self-study of PMBOK® Guide - Sixth Edition (reference book for PMP® exam). The above-mentioned hours can be obtained by formal education (MBA etc.) or by REP or Non REP training institutes.

For Non-members of PMI® (Project Management Institute) fees is $555 and for members it is $405. However, PMI® membership cost is $139 and a joining fee of $10.

Re-examination attempt fees are also dropped from $375 to $275 for members.

PMP® certification is closed book examination and held at exam centers.

No. You cannot pause the PMP® exam but one can take as many breaks as you wish, note that this time will be counted towards your exam duration.

The PMP® exam has a total duration of 4 Hrs. in which one must answer 200 questions. 

PMI® offers both Paper Based Test and Computer Based Test but Paper based test are applicable to candidates living at least 300 km (186.5 miles) from a CBT (Computer Based Test) Centre. 300 km limit does not apply if a corporate organizes PBT for it employee. Also in case of PBT Exam Results may take 6 to 8 weeks after the exam whereas for CBT result is shown immediately on completion of exam.

There are 200 questions to be answered in 4 hours’ time. Only 175 questions will be assessed for Pass/Fail rest 25 are called pre-test questions which do not add to your score. The passing score is estimated inside a range between 66% and 75%.
