Maintianig the customers is possible only by providing the high quality products. This gives it an upper stand among competitors in the market.

Reduced Time to Market

Rapid adaptability can help organisations deliver features or products quickly in competitive markets. Technical agility improves the development process, reducing the time involved in producing the product. Rapid or instant delivery of products or processes to the market is essential to meeting requirements and increasing the company's supply chain.

Essential Standards and Frameworks for Technical Agility

Some methodologies and tools increases an organisation's agility and efficiency. Improved agility allows teams to make changes according to market dynamics.

1. Scrum

  • Scrum is an organisational framework that helps teams work collaboratively on complex projects based on agile methodologies.

  • Events like sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review, and sprint retrospective are essential for technical agility. These events assess work progress, collect feedback, and make constant changes.

  • Artifacts like the product and sprint backlogs help gather insights into product quality and take steps to improve it.

2. Kanban

  • The Kanban approach encourages a shared responsibility for process management. The service delivery manager facilitates improvements.

  • The SDM's role is to identify obstacles in the workflow and adopt the new workflow through the Kanban board. Repeated updates improve technical agility.

  • Kanban practice encourages the active participation of all team members to identify the points that need improvement.

  • Product owners set priorities and product roadmaps. It is also important to make any changes in workflow and priorities.

3. DevOps

  • DevOps helps automate repetitive tasks like testing and deployment, which results in faster delivery of the organisation’s product.

  • DevOps culture is about sharing the responsibilities and involving continuous integration and delivery to ensure timely feedback and quick release cycles.

  • Continuous monitoring of process and production helps in obtaining real-time insights on performance. The insight helps in mitigating the issue.

  • DevOps is a customer-focused process that prioritises delivering value by responding to feedback and adapting to new market needs.

4. Extreme Programming (XP)

  • Extreme Programming is a software development process that expects high technical standards and customer satisfaction.

  • The process implements frequent changes for early detection of issues and reduces the risk.

  • The concept believes in delivering small, functional increments of software regularly. This allows the company to collect user feedback and make required adaptations.

  • The extreme programming process involves the customer in the development process, during user stories and acceptance testing. This helps the software meet the actual requirements.

Best Practices for Evaluation of Technical Agility

Certain practices can help in the Technical Agility evaluation. This process of assessment is important for improving enterprises to a higher standard. Following these practices can be insightful and beneficial:

Define Clear Objectives

Before the technical agility evaluation, the goal must be defined, whether it is to check the deployment frequency, reduce time to market, or something else. Setting clear goals will guide the assessment process and help evaluate the outcomes.

Prioritise Actionable Insights

The goals set for the assessment must be achievable, so the goal must be within achieving limit to expect a positive outcome. This will help identify the obstacles easily.

Foster Open Communication

Then, communication within the team must be open. This type of communication can help identify barriers and generate multiple solutions. Involving every team member enhances the sharing of ideas.

Continuous Iteration and Enhancement

The iteration method will help you adopt new techniques based on feedback evaluation, regularly review the assessment, and adapt your strategies based on outcomes.

Track Advancement

After executing the new adoption, the company must track the progress. This evaluation helps improve targets for adoption and provides a competitive hand for the company.
