For example, if you wanted your computer to be able to tell the difference between cats and dogs, you would need to give it a set of images where each individual image is labeled as cat or dog. A classification algorithm will learn the characteristics of each animal and use that to predict which it is looking at.


Semi-Supervised Learning

Semi-supervised learning is a type of machine learning that uses both labeled and unlabeled data. It has the benefit of not relying on past labeled data to complete tasks, but it can also be more challenging because there is less data to work with. Semi-supervised learning is a category of machine learning algorithms that utilize example data from either only one input/output pair or from multiple input/output pairs. 

The algorithms are trained using the output data for the single input and then used to make predictions about an unknown input. Semi-supervised learning can be seen as a sort of "semi-supervised" supervised learning where we have some known training data to help us learn, but not enough to accurately predict what will happen when there are any unknown inputs. Unsupervised Learning

Dimension reduction reduces the number of dimensions that data is stored in by converting it from a multidimensional format to a lower-dimensional one. Dimension reduction is applied when the desired output is sparse and does not require every data point. 


Reinforcement Learning

Artificial Neural Networks: This is the most complicated and advanced algorithm in the list of machine learning algorithms. Linear Regression: This is a simple algorithm that assumes that the relationship between one variable and another is linear. This means the equation y=mx+b will have a straight line through it.
