Scrum usually uses Value-based Prioritization as one of its fundamental principles, which drives the development and functionality of the entire Scrum framework. It supports the development of flexibility and the iterative development of products or services. Often, the following points are considered when evaluating user stories, assessing risk, and linking them to dependencies. The greater the value, risk, and dependency of a particular user story, the higher its priority. To conclude, it helps deliver customer requirements, providing the highest business value in the least time. As a part of the course with StarAgile, you will learn the following things about value-based prioritization:
- Agile Value-based Prioritization Plan.
- Time Value of Money.
- Future Value and Present Value – Formulas.
- Different prioritization techniques
- Prioritization based on Return on Investment (ROI).
- Different Levels of Planning.
- Arrange Agile Projects to Packages and Groups.
- Agile vs Predictive planning.
- Accuracy vs. Exactness.
- Determining Project Size.
- Principles of Agile planning process.
- Agile Product Roadmap.
- Iteration Plan.
Agile Monitoring is an effective method at all levels, with proactive dialogue within the team and with management. The purpose of project monitoring is to provide management with confidence. Everyone on the team and in management should be convinced that the project is well on track and feel knowledgeable about its overall status.
As the name suggests, it involves looking back on or dealing with past events or situations. Retrospective is an important part of the agile work model. It usually occurs after each sprint and before the next sprint. The duration of the retrospective may range from half an hour to 3 hours, depending on the sprint. The Scrum Master confirms that the event will take place and that each team member understands its purpose. This is the time the team reflects upon its performance and looks to improve as a team. The team as a whole tries to focus on what went well, what could be improved upon, and what did not go well.
With the PMI ACP course, one will be well-versed in the following points about Retrospective:
Why Retrospectives are conducted
Different methods or ways of conducting Retrospectives
Benefits of Retrospective
ACP follows Lean Principles, which are based on the fundamental idea of focusing on the cost of resources to achieve the vision rather than developing something that is not very useful or valuable to the customer. This approach eliminates the waste, strengthens knowledge, promotes decision-making only after we have all the facts in place, fast and frequent delivery, and looks at the bigger picture. In this course, you will learn about Lean in detail, including how to implement the Lean Mindset at the enterprise level and more.
The primary objectives of Project Risk Management are to increase the likelihood and effect of positive actions and reduce the likelihood and effect of actions adverse to the project. Risk Management is the practice of recognizing, studying, and either approving or mitigating ambiguity in speculative decision-making. In training with StarAgile on PMI ACP, you will learn to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks that are related to the Product and Project.
It comprises more than a few iterative and incremental software development methodologies, each with its own agile framework. The most widely used agile frameworks include Scrum, Business-Driven Development Method, and Feature-Driven Development.
Since each agile model has its own distinctive features and practices, it follows a definite procedure. Still, they share a common base, i.e., the principles of iterative development and continuous integration when building an application. All of them consist of planning, testing, integration, and continuous development for the application.
Since agile is also considered lightweight, rules and protocols are given less importance than in the traditional model. In this module, you will learn the following:
- Why Agile.
- Agile Best Practices.
- Agile Evolution.
- Agile Manifesto.
- Agile Principles.
- Agile Methodologies, Frameworks, and Processes.
- Agile Leadership.
- Three Pillars of Scrum
Since Scrum has been around for many years and is practiced worldwide, it is still considered a new way of development. As mentioned above, Scrum is an agile process, focused on iterative and incremental development.
Since development projects have become so complex that delivering all requirements in a single go makes no sense and risks the actual requirements in the end, as they often keep changing. Scrum was intended to solve this problem by enabling continuous feedback and traceability throughout the development process. Scrum emphasized collaboration, flexibility, Continuous feedback, and self-organization. In this course, you will learn Scrum Framework, its roles, artifacts, events, and working.
